We welcome volunteers from all walks of life to come and visit us and bring in new ideas and participate in our projects. Because we are a non-profit organization the need to assess a fee to offset the costs incurred is essential.

We are looking for volunteers to

• offer one-on-one counseling (qualified counselors only)

• assist the kitchen staff
• do manual labor (building, gardening/farming, painting, etc.)*
• assist in Bible studies and spiritual assistance
• teach artistic skills
• do household chores
• participate as a house parent
• share their professional skills with the staff
• give direction in journalism and public relations for marketing the orphanage
• provide recreational outings for the children

              *any costs involved would be the responsibility of the volunteer*

Other Areas to Try Out

During your stay with us you will enjoy the community as a whole. When you aren’t enraptured with the children and tasks in the orphanage you may want to head over to the primary school and get involved. If health concerns are of interest to you, you may want to be a part of some community home visits. Whatever your interests are, Dago Village is sure to satisfy them.

If you would like to extend your holiday and add on any of Kenya’s natural wonders, be it the nearby Masai Mara, or a beach break on the coast, there is much to choose from. Although these add-ons are not included in the Volunteer Holiday program, we would be happy to assist you with information, suggestions and/or bookings.
